IBDU is short for isobutylidene diurea, which is synthetized from urea and isobutylaldehyde under some conditions. IBDU is a white powder or block solid with very low solubility in water. The solubility of IBDU in 100 ml water at room temperature is 0.01 g-0.1 g nitrogen (equivalent to 0.03 g-0.3 g IBDU).

IBDU is short for isobutylidene diurea, which is synthetized from urea and isobutylaldehyde under some conditions. IBDU is a white powder or block solid with very low solubility in water. The solubility of IBDU in 100 ml water at room temperature is 0.01 g-0.1 g nitrogen (equivalent to 0.03 g-0.3 g IBDU). The hydrolysis rate is slow. IBDU is hydrolyzed to isobutyraldehyde and urea, and then nitrogen is released.
The theoretical nitrogen content of IBDU is 32.18%, and the actual nitrogen content of IBDU is about 31% due to a small amount of by-products.
